Saw them live as support for the very un-thrilling Thrills, they were loads better so I bought their EP, which was nice. I see a bit of development needed before I would go as far as a full album.

I've heard a few tracks, and they sound suspiciously like The Coral. I know they're both from Liverpool, but it just sounded a bit too close a resemblance for me to get the album. I'd rather listen to The Coral.

However, if I've got the wrong end of the stick and they actually sound nothing like The Coral, then please feel free to correct me. I've only heard a couple of tracks

They're alot more jazzy and less psychedelic than the Coral. I'd suggest buying Who Killed The Zutons for the strange genre they seem to invent.

Of course my wife arrived home with a copy last night so I can give comment later. After listening to Big Blacks.....Songs about f****ing it might sound a bit tame

I think it's a great album, the 3d poster is awesome too It has more than its fair share of the coral in it, although I love the Coral and it's a little different. Well worth buying.

I like it a lot. It reminds me of the Coral: they have a similar sound, but the song writing is quite different. Hopefully it'll do well.

Had the album for a couple of days and like it very much, but can't hohnestly say I prefer it to Kings of Leon' first attemp. IMHO

Top young British band none the less

Regards,

Why the comparison with the Kings of Leon?

But yes, still good.

I don't think their music sounds the same in any way, it's just I would describe them both as new(ish) bands making the same genre of music. IMO

Either way, they're both bloody good and are a deserved band in any record collection.

I'll take your Zutons album - saw them at Glastonbury last year, and they were so-so, but I'd like to here the album....

(already got KOL - don't like it really...)
