Simple, ANY album ever to be released, what is your favorite?

Mine is Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon.

Hmmmmm, tough question. I tend to vary between two, but then get excitable about new albums. Anyway I'm gonna say- Depeche Mode - Violator & Arcade Fire - Funeral

Good choice, mine would be between that and Pink Floyd: The Wall, used to spark so much imagination when I was young and just listened to it over and over while studying the LP artwork, still love it even now. Such timeless and unique albums both of them!

If I'm forced to go with one album (well, Kirsty, out of the eight records...) I guess it would be the one I've played most consistently over the years. Discounting compilations and 'best ofs', that would probably be Miles Davis's Kind of Blue. Second place would go to CSNY's Deja Vu.

Sigur Rós - Ágætis Byrjun.
No other album has has come close to having such an emotional impact on me than this.

Should be a good thread

I know just what you mean Tetlee...I fist listened to this during my early formative teenage years and feel the same way as you. It's a truely fantastic masterpiece.

However, it's too dour to make my album of all time.

There's a clear winner for me. An album made by 5 rock musicians who individually and collectively were at their peak in 1979. It's UFO's Strangers in the Night. Utterly, utterly brilliant in every way. It's light and dark, it sweeps and rocks and sings and talks. It's clearly my desert island disc...the one I never tire of.

So timeless i have loved them both for aslong as i can remember, im now 16. May surpise you to know quite a few people my age love them both aswell.

To the person who said Led Zep II, i like, but on balance think i prefer Led Zep III. Probably because i remember listening to it for the first time. Immigrant song when you are 8 years old or something, very energetic and exciting.

Also good to see Kings Of Leon being recognized for something other than Only by the Night.

Tbh both IV and Physical Graffiti are better albums, but II hit the spot at the time and still does.

Classic album, up there with the greatest ever live albums! The legendary Schenker at his peak!

For me probably The The 'Infected'.

I listened to it EVERY night for 1 full university year, I could not believe how good it was. And I never tired of it, and can still listen to it now - amazing album.

A bit boring, but Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue.

Timeless. And still wonderful.

I'm going to be boring as well. The Beatles, Abbey Road.
The 1st LP I bought and I never tire of it.

Can't argue with some other choices on here though, especially "Strangers In The Night". That is one of the best live LPs ever released; up there with "Made In Japan", and "Live:In The Heart Of The City".

Though Ok computer by Radiohead comes pretty close to being a perfect album

Where to start!....but if I had to choose.

Steely Dan Aja

Fleetwood Mac Rumours

Keith Jarrett At the Blue Note

That's 3 of course,so if I had to pick only one it would be the Jarrett(which is a cheat as it's a 6 disc concert collection!)
