No Beatles on Spotify ??

Does anyone know why there is no Beatles music on Spotify ?
Sure, there are tribute acts and Karaoke stuff, but no actual Beatles.

Because they haven't been able to do the deal, I would think.
I think they managed to get 4 out of the top 5 labels, so there will be other stuff missing (Pink floydd springs to mind iirc) but whatever, it's still pretty good

There are quite a few bands missing.

Tool & King Crimson were originally on there but have now been removed.
When I emailed Spotify to ask where they had gone they replied "We hope they come back soon"
Basically I believe artists were initially included accidentally before they had given their consent, so Spotify then had to remove them

Led, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd & The Beatles are the 3 which people seem to mostly notice as missing and have never been on there

This is the big problem with their model at the moment. Too much missing. It's even more of a problem for smaller acts. I would happily pay £10 a month if I could be sure 95% of my MP3 collection was covered, but at the moment they are struggling to reach 50%.
