looking at getting my son a mini hifi for xmas dont want a cheap one with only 10 watt speakers want something a bit better anyone got any suggestions

Depends on your budget really, you would be better off getting seperates, possibly secondhand. Your other port of call is Richer Sounds and Hyper Fi, pick up a what hi fi magazine or trawl through the net.
