Post Wembley parking suggestions please ?

We are off to Wembley to see a few concerts this summer and wanted to ask the best way to park and make a quick get away after !

Train / Coach is not an option for us so driving / parking it is.

Re: Wembley parking suggestions please ?

Hi,

There aren't any options really.

Parking has always been a premium.

Your best bet is to park somewhere near a station on the Jubilee line & getting the tube (which isn't that great either).

I've tried to park hundreds of times, even getting there about 4 hours before !

The area is too residential

I was checking this out a few years ago to see Metallica. Apparently you can apply for a weekend permit to park anywhere in a residential area without getting clamped or towed, think it was about £10 but you must be early in applying.
We actually left it too long to do that so our only option was to go down the night before and stay at a Premier Inn in Luton and get the train to Wembley.
After the gig we just hopped on the train and back to the car for a long drive back up to Liverpool.

We did notice that there was loads of spaces at the car parks at the side of the stadium, and I mean loads - but Im unsure about if its only for coaches to park. There is also the fact of congestion charges to research if you are driving right up to Wembley... maybe someone else can confirm if these charges apply to around the stadium or approaching?

I asked a mate who went to see AC/DC last friday. They drove round some local industrial estate and found an office/warehouse unit where they were charged £20. Seemed pricey to me but this London, and he claimed they were out of Wembley and onto the M4 within 15 minutes, Which I'd say was well worth 20 quid.

Cheers bud that looks favorite as I need to be in work the following day so a sharp exit is needed ;-)

Don't worry about that unless you are driving through the middle of London to get there - congestion charge comes nowhere near Wembley.

That's right nowhere near, unless driving through Kensington is your "bag"

Re: Wembley parking suggestions please ?

It really depends on which side of London you're coming from.

From the west, you can drive to High Wycombe and get a train directly to Wembley Stadium which takes about 30 minutes.

Some friends from kent who went to AC/DC drove to North Greenwich and parked up in the tube station car park for £6 and just jumped on the jubilee line.

It's also worth while keeping in mind that the parking restrictions are only in place when there is an event on at the Stadium, I've always parked on the road in between the tube station and the premier inn without any problems

good luck!!
