Re: Led Zeppelin o2 bootleg dvd

I downloaded an O2 bootleg vid and it was terrible quality and I deleted it ... wouldn't be surprised if the DVD is the same
- and anyway why make a bootlegger some money when you could "try before you buy"

There are a few good pro shot dvd's of zep around - notably Earls court75, Detroit 77 and obviously Knebworth 79 (both shows)

The 02 show is very poor quality - you can probably still download it from dime if you are desperate to see it (I dont have it)

There is a very good quality bootleg DVD of the O2 concert, if you know where to look on the net. It's shot on an HD video camera and the picture and sound quality is better than some commercially available concerts. It's not perfect the camera shakes and wanders at times, but for me it's a wonderful reminder of the show. It looks like it was shot from just above where I was sitting. Hint, look for Katz-Eye, or Four Eyes which is a slightly modified version with a little wider angle footage mixed in. There is even a limited edition Blu-ray version, which sadly I haven't been able to track down.

There is a lot of footage for this show kicking around mostly shot on mobile phones so the quality can be "interesting !". As johncl says, the Katz-Eye version is really good. Kashmir is incredible & made the hairs on my arms stand up ! Jimmy Page is on top form.

I agree joncl. That is a good one. Shot by "Third Eye" it's well worth tracking down. Drop me a pm if you want more info.
