O2 wireless festival

Hi guys

I'm going to my first o2 wireless festival on Sunday 5th July to see Kanye West, Kid Cudi and other excellent artists.

Is anyone else from here going?

Has anyone been before? what will it be like. how many stages are there?

thanks

Rjohnso

Re: O2 wireless festival

I've been a few times & going again for the Basement Jaxx day.

It's always well organised, the only thing is that they sometimes put acts in the covered stages that just get rammed full.

& of course, you can't beat going back to your own bed each night !!

Re: O2 wireless festival

I want to go... but no idea how its set up.

Is it just one stage then? I want to be at the front for Kanye West! But I guess if I leave the front... I won't be able to go back.

Thanks

*I've never been to a music festival.

Re: O2 wireless festival

Went a few years back to see Depeche Mode & Goldfrapp...also went last year to see Underworld & Fat Boy Slim

Usually has around 6 tents spread out over the park BUT these can get rammed - Underworld last year was unbearable.

The outside stage is fine though - great location & has a more chilled atmos than other festivals.

I assume the outside stage is where the headlining act is?
How easy is it to move around the tents?

yeah headlining acts will play the outside stage (why they stuck Underworld indoors i will never know ??)

The Outside stage is sat in the middle of the park with the the tents spread around the outside making it easy to move between them all. If anyone you want to see is playing in one of the tents then I reccommend you get there well before they start as you might have to queue or not get in at all.

Re: O2 wireless festival

i went a few years back on my mates stag weekend , this is the main stage,(me on the right)

the other "tents" were set to the back right and left

There was one tent that only o2 phone users could go into ,so if you can borrow somebody's phone you might get to see a few more bands

.

I know, that bloke that sprints and leaps over people to get into the mix is hilarious.
