Dire Straits band members help

Some girl who does my mothers hair reckons she's seeing a bloke who used to be in Dire Straits (or still is - she's a bit dopey so I'm not sure which). She says his name is Brian, but I can't find any reference to a Brian in the band. Anyone know ?

According to allmusicguide.com this is everyone from the band over the years and there aint no Brian ...
