MANIC STREET PREACHERS Journal For- Plague-Lovers-2CD

On first couple of listens im really enjoying the new/old sound of this album.
I only hope its also a grower.. very individual. I reckon most of the songs if not all
would make for a great live performance.

MANIC STREET PREACHERS - Journal For Plague Lovers (2CD) | CD WOW! UK

I'm a big fan of the Manics during the Richie days. Everything Must Go was ok, but the majority of their work after this I found dull. How does this new effort compare to albums like Gold Against the Soul and The Holy Bible?

Like you i first got interested in the manics a few years ago with their earlier stuff. I didnt really get into the holy bible, saying that i didnt really give it a good try either.

But this latest album, to me, seems like a cross between their earlier stuff, and well, something new. Difficult to explain it to be honest. I like it!

You could try installing spotify (link below) and seeing if they have any tracks from the new album...

Duuh... I've been using Spotify for ages now and it never occurred to me to check there. Champion idea!
