I'm sure 8mm was a jewel case DVD, my copy came free with my first DVD player back in 1999. I hated the movie so much I tossed it but presumably some more forgiving souls kept their copies :)

My Godzilla and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer DVD's are still in those. I also have early South Parks in them when they were bought one disc at a time rather than by season. I gave the Game away.

Thanks guys, yeah Godzilla (I have it somewhere -forgot!), 8mm for sure. Never knew about South Park.

Ah, 1998, the technology was on fire!

And also:

Dracula (Coppola)

8mm reminded me of that.

Have Jenny Agutter - Walkabout (1971) and Jude (Kate Winslet / Chris Eccelston) in super jewel dvd cases, any interest?

Oh, yeah remember those too! That Jude one went very rare for a few years and it used to fetch £30+. Cheap now as the rights moved. Horrible film though and I mind forcing myself to sit through it at the cinema as I was a 'guest'. Nightmare.

If you're selling or trading Walkabout I'd be interested for sure! :) See my thread here

The Borrowers (1997) came in one of those cases.

I think pretty much anything released by Polygram around that era had similar packing.

A Super Jewel set for your list...Metallica: Cunning Stunts (Double Disc) UK.

Lovely, better make sure I get that spelling right though

I'll add them all later, thanks :)

The Krays came in a super jewel.

The Gingerbread Man (Kenneth Branagh) & What Dreams May Come (Robin Williams)

Ah, that's more for people in Germany. I might start adding foreign discs but there's 100s (still printing them in Italy, USA, Russia and elsewhere) and they ain't all that special.

There are a few music ones, do you want those too?

I think Fatboy Slim's Why makes videos is one.

Ah, memories. I only ever had a few super jewel releases, and I've got one left: Hard Rain. It's actually a really good version too, as the re-release DVD only had 2.0 sound or something stupid like that. But the Blu-ray version has now landed, and my bejeweled DVD of Hard Rain needs a new home.
