I have just heard (or rather read) that dvd profiler can be used with a barcode scanner.

I have sold a lot of discs lately, and bought quite a few blu rays.

The Problem is, I have gotten lost in the losts, so I want to be lazy and just scan the code with a lazer zapper thingy, as I also mke a typed list of each individual dvd/bd and really dont want to have to type out all the bar codes as well as theres a few hundred

Years ago you used to be able to get a Cuecat, I think it was called for no more than a couple of quid on eBay, you had to do something minor with the software to get it to work with DVD profiler, was a 2 minute job and after that it worked fine.

No idea if you can still get them though.

Seems the cuecat is about £13 on ebay now and has to come from the USA

Is there anything else anyone has tried that works for less than £20 that they can point me to??

Re: I use dvd profiler and would like a barcode scanner to use with it....

Any barcode scanner than can read standard EAN commercial barcodes should work.

There's northing magical about them or the application, the scanner becomes merely an input device which you could scan into anything, i.e. Notepad, Word, XL etc

Thanks for that, although I ended up doing it manually in the end

I'll definately have to find one for next time, it would be so much quicker
