DVD recommendations with good surround sound...

Hi,

Having finally got myself a decent (well compared to the old one) sound system, I could do with a few recommendations for DVDs that would show off the surround sound please.

Thanks in advance.

Master & Commander, especially in DTS.

Lord of the Rings - All three FOTR, TTT & ROTK, especially the 'Platinum' extended editions with DTS-ES. The battles at Helms Deep in TTT or Pelenor in ROTK are awesome.

Cloverfield impressed me recently, even in DD.

Transformers is also very good, even if the movie isn't (enjoyed it more a year later )

Enjoyed Titanic (Definitive 4 disc) with DTS the other night and the creaking of the ship buckling as it sinks is very good.

Band of Brothers R1 with DTS is very good, especially episode 8.

Yeah, Pearl Harbour has an awesome Dolby Digital 5.1 track or even better, the R1 version which has DTS 5.1.
Shame the film was awful!

Blade 2 has one of the most impressive DTS 6.1 tracks I've ever heard on Standard Definition.

Here's a strange one to throw into the mix. The first R2 release of the Back to the Future Trilogy which had DTS tracks. You all might think '????' but seriously, for those films, I get tingling down my spine whenever I hear that iconic theme. And the clarity of the dialogue is fantastic too among other things. Picture quality is also fantastic.

I agree with the other recommendations mentioned too.

Err, any Pixar film as well.

Oh yeah, the R1 Directors (Vista) 4 disc set of Pearl Harbor with DTS is very good, even though the film isn't. Getting hard to get at a good price now.

Agree with Blade 2 also.
