Blu Ray Soundtrack "Dark Knight"

Hi one and all, hope you have all had a cracking gadget and home cinema filled Christmas
Now to my point...sat down last night to watch the "The Dark Knight" on Blu Ray..a great film and absolutely stunning in HD, if anyone thinks that you don't need HD then they only need to look at this movie.
However, whats the deal with the sound?, you have to crank the volume right up to hear the dialogue and then rush to the remote to turn it down when the buildings start blowing up and your ears start to bleed.....
I am not using a seperate amp but running it through my Samsung 40" LCD speakers. The player is the Sony 350
Why is the dialogue so quiet..and the bangs and crashes so damn LOUD?
Any ideas?

Time to get an amp with separate speaker volumes, but yeah it does do this.
