The X-Files: I Want to Believe the lack of picture quality

I didn't see the movie at the cinema, although I used to be a "proper" fan (proper as in it's "proper" Northern usage), so was eager to watch it on DVD.

Both me and the missus were shocked at the rubbish picture quality from the DVD on Friday night. Although the film lived up to the reviews that I'd seen, the whoel film was let down by muddy colours and shocking focus

I dont have the DVD but I will be getting the Blu-Ray at some point. I went to see this at the cinema and I have to say the picture was quite poor. That was a reminder why I rarely visit the cinema anymore.

This may have been intended to create an atmosphere.

Re: The X-Files: I Want to Believe the lack of picture quality

Or this could be a case of making the DVD look bad so the Blu-ray is more attractive.
