Leon BD

I was looking to buy the Leon BD Import but cannot seem to find any reviews which detail PQ and SQ. I have seen one or two mixed comments on here but would appreciate if anyone has it what they think? Is it better to hang on for an official UK release?

Thanks

Problem here is that it is unlikely the UK release will have 7.1 sound, if your into that market.

Re: Leon BD

not really. just dont want to spend £25 on an import to find it is only marginally better than a DVD release.

Re: Leon BD

Hi

I have the Steelbook Leon from amazon.de which is an improvement over the DVD version but not on par with a recent Blu ray release like Dark Knight - picture is much improved and the sound is better - I will pop it in later and try and rate it for you

Re: Leon BD

okay - picture is much, much better than the DVD - the close ups are superb with every pore & hair etc visible. There is some edge enhancement but overall the picture is good - some of the whites are really WHITE - mainly on outside shots.

Highly recommended over the DVD - infact the missus came in during the part where Matilda's folks get whacked and was hugely impressed with the fact she could see all the grime, dirt and watermarks on the wall of the building. She commented that she's never seen Leon look so good (the film I think and not Jean Reno hopefully).

Sound is good - running my Denon 3803 with KEF's in 7.1 setup - the action sequences are loud and clear.

overall - highly recommened all the way.
