Blu-Ray weird distoration on back of disc

Firstly I apologise if this is in the wrong forum.

Last night I started to watch Transformers on Blu-Ray but it was stuck on the loading screen. I ejected the disc a couple of times before leaving it alone on the loading screen and it eventually loaded to the title menu. I checked the back of the disc to see if there were any scratches. There were none but the disc appeared distorted somewhat. It wasn't clear at all as you'd find with the typical Blu-Ray disc. I checked it against the Transformers bonus disc which appeared fine and as clear as anything. A few of my other Blu-Ray films have the same distortion but all work fine atm. It's strange, I've always been careful about my Blu-Ray films. They are never left out - they are either in the PS3 or in their case. My Transformers film has worked OK to date since and has loaded fine. I was wondering if any other users have experienced this? and if there's a connection between loading times and that weird distortion on the back of the disc.

The transformers disc is problematic with the ps3,you need to disable internet connection and clear the cache.

It'll work then.

BD live is crap anyhoo imho.

Re: Blu-Ray weird distoration on back of disc

yeh it was just downloading additional content, it should never do it again with that film.

I've noticed the distortion you are discribing though, what made me first notice it was when my special edition LOTR two towers discs both 1 + 2 got this distortion and refused to play with out problems.

When I purchased my first HD DVD, i noticed the same distortion and was worried straight away. Fortunataly there dosent seem to be any problems with discs that have this now.
