the fog hd dvd - anybody own it ??

is this worth the upgrade from sd dvd ?? as the reviews i have read are not exactly glowing ...............any feedback would be great - cheers

Hi ya,
Its not the best hd dvd i have seen, some bits are quite good and a lot of bits are quite poor slightly more colourfull and a bit more depth.
If you can buy it cheap then why not!!!!!

I think it is worth owning the picture quality is pretty good and have to say i wasn't at all dissappointed in buying it, then again I'm a big early Carpenter fan so would buy it regardless of the reviews, if you can pick it up cheap go for it, I'll probably double dip on this when it's released on Blu-Ray in the US.

You can its £3.99 at HMV, i cannot comment on the PQ as i only ordered it the other day but at £3.99 it was too low to resist. I too like Carpenter's early work

thanks guys grabbed it from hmv - at that price even a small upgrade it will be worth it .......as i must watch this about three times a year
