Havent seen this mentioned anywhere else but it appears its coming out in September according to this pre-order screen from play.com

Read about this a few weeks ago, 2nd of September release rumours of a reworked picture that will be superior to the HDDVD version!

If the audio track was a major improvement then I would probaley upgrade but I dont think the picture can possibly be made any better, its already stunning.

I just played Transformers HD DVD on my new Panny TH42PZ80 (  ). I'm not sure how they can improve on the video tbh, absolutely stunning IMHO. Even the audio, although its DD+ and not Dolby TrueHD is pretty special too.
OT - Im just about to cosy up and watch my 5 disc version of Blade Runner, now that should look special!

Agreed, got the 5 Disc HD-DVD for xmas and its one hell of a set and should be in everyone's collection
