region free

Im a bit confused.
On amazon a blue ray movie will be tagged as region 1,but on moveytime the very same movie will be tagged as region free.
I like the price on amazon for sure but as a region2 is what I got who can I trust as being correct??
cheers

Re: region free

If Movietyme say it is region free you be pretty mcuh sure it will be.

Remember to add postage to Amazon, sometimes once added the difference in cost is not that great.

Which disc is it?

Movietyme test all blu-rays if they say its region free then it is. Also if in doubt try http://bluray.liesinc.net/

I think Amazon always tag everything like this.

Remember 'Region 1' doesn't even exist in Blu-ray Disc Land - it's Region A.

Re: region free

Do some BR discs have the 'extra features' on SD-DVD? As these may well be region coded, although the BR isn't IYSWIM..

Re: region free

Play also list their HD items by the region it comes from even though HD DVD is region free, as are some Blu-rays. Like has already been said though, Blu-ray region codes are denoted by a letter and not numbers like DVD.
