Cinema Paradiso - the pirates have it, but where can I buy it on Blu-Ray ?

Search on google for Cinema Paradiso and Blu-ray and there appears to be Blu-ray version out there for Torrent users, in Italian with UK sub-titles. But I want to buy the original on disc and can't find it anywhere - not listed in UK or US Blu-ray stores.

Anyone seen it or can you advise of a good search engine that searches Blu-ray shops ?

thanks in advance

Foreign language films are a pain that way when you have to look abroad to get them.

I recently purchased this from Japan... and confirm there are no subtitles in English (none are hidden either!).... I can tell you it is a beautiful transfer... fortunately, I speak Italian... but not quite good enough to understand all the dialogue in regional dialect... but what a visual treat! With all the space claimed for Blu-ray, you'd have thought they could put 20 different language subtitles on the disc, more or less as they do for dvd releases! Okay, in Japan their target viewer is ONLY the local home market, so it is for this reason alone that no English subtitles appear on a great many/majority Japanese releases. They also do not expect major Hollywood,European and world cinema titles to be exported FROM Japan...Titles from Hong Kong, on the other hand, are far more likely to have English subtitles... more English speaking residents there, and they do not mind exporting anything to anywhere...
Compared with the REMASTERED dvd special/collectors (2 version) edition, this does have a lovely transfer too .. it looked fabulous on my 65" plasma .... so you will have a treat instore when it gets a proper euro release with eng. subs...
