I started buying (in order) the 2 disc Ultimate Editions when I saw them cheap - I'm up to the Roger Moore editions. So much for "Ultimate Editions" and "....a breakthrough digital process" blah blah as it says in the intros. Wonder what they will call the bluray editions?

I imagine the first ones will be light on special features, then the later ones will have them then next we will have Super HD disks etc. This is the wonderful thing about films. They cost so much to make but you get the money back over and over again.

Nothing against the OP of this thread at all (far from it) but a question regarding the forum moderation.
Where's the logic in closing this thread; High Def Bond
which was started on the 1st of March and also includes a useful link to the remastering process which led to these Blu-Rays being created.
Surely a merge would have been more appropriate?

That's a good line up, Die Another Day is the only stinker, two of the better Roger Moore outings too.

Shame my three favourites of: OHMSS, The Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye aren't in the list.
Oh well, For Your Eye Only was the first Bond film I saw in he Cinema (Odeon Leicester Square when on holiday).

For Your Eyes Only and Die Another Day are both poor.
Strange that they're releasing the 1st, 2nd and 4th Bond films, but no Goldfinger which was the third and possibly best Bond film.

There are only 5 Bond titles I wish to own on Blu-ray and 3 of them are in this first wave - Dr. No, From Russia With Love & Thunderball. I'll also pick up Goldfinger & OHMSS when they are released....and QOS, if it's in the same vein as Casino Royale. As for the rest, I'll pass..

If like Jim you're only interested in a few, then this might be for you. But I would imagine many Bond fans will want the full set, and which of those people will want to buy the individual titles, then have to replace them when the next 'briefcase' arrives?

I'll have to get live and let die
then I'll wait for a 22 box set to be released.

Oh and everyone knows the best ever Bond is 'You Only Live Twice'.
