Next and Lucky Number Slevin (EIV - U.K) Blu-ray

Hello Friends,

Does anyone of you own these titles ? If so can you please check and revert back on the following

1) Picture Quality - in comparison to the U.S HD DVDs. Does it contain Edge Enhancement and DNR like Gangs of New York ?
2) Aspect Ratio of the movie - Is the movie presented in Original Aspect Ratio ?
3) Spoken Languages
4) Subtitles
5) Special features

Please help.

1. Both - PQ very good but not seen US HD to compare.

2. Both: 2.35 anamorphic widescreen.

3. Next - 5:1 DTS HD. Slevin - same.

4. Both - English only.

5. Next: Making the next best thing; Visualising the next thing; The next grand idea; Two minutes in the future with Jessica Biel. Slevin - Making of Commentary by Paul McGuigan; Cast Commentary.

The above verified by checking the actual disc not just the covers!

I've got Slevin. This film was a really pleasant surpirse (only bought it because i found it for £7) and would recommend it. The picture quality is very good but its no Apocalypto, but this is also because I dont know if the film itself lends itself to be a demo disc (i always prefer to demo big action scenes or cgi)

ps wise a 8 out of 10. Worth owning for sure though and you can get it pretty cheap on amazon.co.uk's marketplace.

Received Next and Lucky Number Slevin (Blu-ray) from dvd.co.uk for 12 each.

Movie : 3.5 / 5

The Good

Excellent detailing and Value Sharpness
Gorgeous eye candy colors
No hints of EE, dirt and print damage / Almost grain free (No noticeable DNR)

The Bad

Slightly low black levels (similar to War - Rogue Assassin)
Few soft focussed shots
Couple of CGI scenes looked fake

The Ugly

Jaggies ( damn it) spotted in couple of scenes that lasted for few seconds.

PQ : 4 / 5
SQ : No comments
Replay Value : Yes
Recommendation : For Fans Only

Bought both movies, watched them once and have already sold them to forum members. In terms of PQ Next looked excellent besides a couple of Jaggies. Lucky Number Slevin looked average to very good due to the intentional filtered look. I am very happy that EIV haven't bit starved these titles.
