security tab on blu-ray

hi,any ideas on getting the sticky substance thats left after taking off the device that they put on the usa blu-ray discs.find on the few i have got when i remove device the cover is still very sticky.never had the problem on the hd discs.any help appreciated.harry.

what i tend to do is after removing said label dab the affected area with the
sticky side of the label brings it off a treat (everyones a winner)

When I first read this I thought you you meant this was on the disc itself. I now gather you mean the case .

sticky stuff remover. can buy from wilkinson or diy stores.

it's a yellow spray can, and works wonders on lots of sticky things.

wd40 - been using it for years to remove stupid stickers etc off videos, ld, dvd & now blu-ray/hd-dvd

I too thought he meant the disc.... I just use washing up liquid, and it works fine.

Lighter fluid is what you should use.
It's dirt cheap and you can get it from any Tesco, Asda or any large store.

It's an old toy collectors trick (for removing price tags). Lighter fluid removes the sticky residue without causing any damage to the surface once wiped off
