I missed this at the cinema so I'm deliberately avoiding it until I can see it in HD. I absolutely loved everything by Paul Thomas Anderson before so will definitely be buying this

I have to say I saw this 3 times in tne cinema and it became one of my favorite movies (took 3 goes to truely appreciate it) however it is perhaps the only film I have seen in recent years that I think is best suited for the cinema. The sence of spaciousness really added to the atmosphere and you'd have to have a really solid audio setup to do the score justice. However for those that missed it at the cinema they should without question pick it up,

I just got the DVD and it's not the same on the small screen. It's still in cinemas, so see it there if you can. Or at least watch it in the dark.

I watched the SD of this last night.

It pained me to buy and watch the SD version. I was really annoyed when Paramount pulled the plug on the HD DVD release of this

This was the first SD movie I've watched in months and will definitely be the last for some time. So many scenes were crying out to be seen in HD.

Will definitely buy the Blu-ray and watch again.

Despite being 2hrs 38mins I wasn't bored for one minute.

If comfirmed, I'm very pleased indeed to hear this.

Most new big cinema releases are appearing in high def, but I was fearful that Paramount might miss out on releasing some films due out during its 'dead' period - betwen the end of their HD DVD support and the first of their Blu-ray Disc releases - and forget about them later.

I was worried this might fall through the cracks.

It's also on Sendit for pre-order. More expensive than Play, but are quoting an earlier date (23rd June).
