Eastern Promises HDDVD combo problems

I have just received the US combo version of this movie and it won't play on my Tosh EP30. I am running the latest firmware but it just spins and says no disc. I have searched the forums without any luck. Does anybody know why? many thanks

I just shoved my us combo version into my ep30 to try it for you and it loaded and went to the menu screen with no problem.
( I also tried the sd side and as you would expect I got the wrong region message. )

Damn, tried it several times now and no luck. I recall that the Queen live in Montreal discs were the same and that the issuer would replace faulty discs. Maybe I have a faulty one, I will pass it to some friends who also have EP30's and see what gives, thanks for the help.

My copy works fine sounds like a bum disc. I did get a bum copy of american gangster this had scratches right at the very edge kept getting same message

Mine plays great until last 3rd then the picture starts freezing and jumping. Sending it back on monday.

Lots of US comments and complaints on combo discs in general, particularly when played on the later hardware like the 30 . Other than the obvious of seeing if there are markings/muck at the inside (nearest the centre) of the disk I don't think there's a lot you can do - other than return it quick. Sorry.

My copy works fine as do all my combos.
