what films are good in HD? need some film ideas

my birthday coming up and dont know anything i want so just told every one to get me some HD DVD's

what films can you recommend that show off HD? as i've got the EP30 coming for my birthday as well off the mrs

also are older films in HD actually HD quality?

ie reservoir dogs? its made 95/96 era so how is that in HD? is it gonna be as good a quality as a 2007 film?

I just ordered some of the films from this thread, deepdiscount.com select HD-DVDs for $12.20 each

my 1st time ordering from them but getting 12 monkeys and dawn of the dead delivered for under £16.

so as long as you stick to 2 discs, keeping it under $30 you dont get charged stupid customs charges

Just got Zodiac, that has an excellent picture. I was quite suprissed about 'Shoot'em up' on blu-ray. Great picture and sound and entertaining movie!

You gotta go for 'The Lives of Others' on Blu Ray if you get a player

'Film' is very high effective resolution. They put the film into a machine which scans each frame and digitises it. So old films can look just as good as new films on Blu-Ray or HD-DVD
You do know that Toshiba have pulled out of HD-DVD right?

good luck on getting their special offer. found out they just sent out one disc disc of a two disc order. There is a reason why they logo is a shark! email sent rest of my orders cancelled.
