Endless Blu-Ray cancellations.

Anyone else getting sick of the whole UK Blu-Ray release mess? You order umpteen titles in advance then a week or so before release you get either an email saying "The title is no longer available" (ie it's not coming out after all) or a status of "Temporarily out of stock" for weeks after the supposed release date even though you pre-ordered months in advance.

Yesterday I was told the following three titles, pre-ordered from sendit.com long ago are now cancelled (the first one was actually reviewed in the current issue of HD Review):
"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"
"Master and Commander - The Far Side of the World"
"Wall Street"

What is the point of "winning" the format war when you can't produce the titles you keep promising? Sheesh!

Re: Endless Blu-Ray cancellations.

I suppose a cynic could say now they are "winning" they don't need to produce so many good or grade A disks Still one format is good for us allegedly so this to must be good

Re: Endless Blu-Ray cancellations.

It's not a Blu-ray thing as much as it's a FOX thing. Most unreliable studio doing hi-def.
