Contract on HD DVD

Just wanted to say for those who watch on a large screen projection that this movie has some excellent "grain free" shots.

And I rate this up high on my list of Excellent video content.

Is Contact coming out on either format? One of my faves!

But I understand it's a pretty poor film.

Rented this on SD a while ago to see what it was and yes, it's not the best film made, although it's not terrible either. Just another of those so-so US gvt. conspiracy movies of which hollyweird spews out a seemingly endless stream... Wasn't a purchase for me but I'm sure the scenery would look very nice in HD for those interested in good PQ!

Watched this on Hd-dvd last night and wasn't expecting too much as it went straight to video, but was very pleasantly surprised.
My wife and I thought that the whole film was very well set up , with some great banter between all concerned, especially John Cusack and Morgan Freeman. Certainly give it 8 out of 10 for content.
Also agree that this film was almost made for high definition as it had a glorious picture throughout, with pin sharp detail. The sound, although not as good, was certainly adequate and extremely clear throughout.
I would certainly recommend giving this movie a chance, especially now that it can be picked up pretty cheaply!
