A big disappointment. Looks like I'll be buying them separately instead.

Surprising decision really I appreciate the content from the 'extra' discs in SD DVD boxset is already on the HD DVDs - but why not make the most of the Bourne fever and release a three film boxset?
Anyway I've ordered the trilogy as standalones from Amazon.com

that seems like a pretty blind decision, if you can buy all three how hard is it to wrap a piece of card around it and make a few more £?
Baffled

Perhaps this is to maximise HD DVD sales figures? After all a box set counts as one sale whereas three individual releases count as three sales.

I suppose one reason for the lack of a boxset could be because the third film is a combi disc - thus buyers would ask why the first two weren't but the third was. Not a very good reason though |

Could be that Bourne 4 is due soon ??
Maybe?
Sell the 4 disc box set in HD once HD is more established sounds like a good idea to me.

Isn't £25 from Amazon for all three a pretty good deal?
At least you'll get TrueHD on Ultimatum as well then

Could be due to the borne film being included with 300 in the new toshibas. I suspect that they think the HD-DVD will expand dramatically over the next few months, and as such most new owners will already have the second film free anyway, so won't want to buy the box set?

Great move, I think.
Most people will have the first 2 already.
Let's face it, if Universal released a boxed-set with new extras, we'd all be moaning about having to double dip.
This way the sales don't get split between thesingle release and the box. But if you want to buy the 'cheap, in bulk', that's still a great deal at Amazon.

Steve W | Well i don't have the first 2 on hd dvd but i have them on standard dvd. I was gonna use the box set as an excuse to myself and her in doors for the upgrade ...... now i think i'll just buy the new one in hd, infact i may even just rent it and wait and see if universal release a box set at a later date

It does seem that Uk boxset of all 3 is still coming though!
It's a bit of a strange decision considering your only talking about putting the existing 3 hd dvd's in a new outer sleeve perhaps they just couldn't be bothered.
