Re: Shrek 3 HD DVD

Can't bring myself round to buying this yet.

I liked the film, not as good as the other two, but still worth owning.

Just waiting for the inevitable box set that'll probably be announced just as the single disc sales figures start to dip. Too cynical?

Comes in at £18.25 with airmail shipping or £16.54 with surface so not much cheaper than Movietyme if you use one of the many £1 discount vouchers they send out.

Nope.
The film isn't good enough to buy on it's own but I'll snap up the 3 movie boxset with no hesitation and I expect it'll be offered sooner or later.

Still works out cheaper.

Anyway, with the current £ to $ exchange rate you'd think MTyme would drop the price a little. You could pick up this title for around £16 delivered from Amazon US, granted it will take a little longer but for those not in a rush it's a £2 saving.

Re: Shrek 3 HD DVD

How come PlayUSA hardly gets a mention on the HD forrms?

Are DVD Pacific and Movietyme that much cheaper (and quicker delivery)?

£17.99 on HD-DVD and delivery from PlayUSA is usually pretty quick.
One of about nine HD-DVDs i've ordered from them in the past two weeks.

This movie is awful! Come on people, don't buy it and encourage them to make more of this tripe.

The budget was $160 million, it took $791 million worldwide at the box office.

Whatever the DVD/HD DVD sales of this title are there is already way more than enough insentive to make another one.

As always if you like the movie buy it, if you don't like it then don't buy it but don't think you are making a political statement, because it will be irrelevent.

Re: Shrek 3 HD DVD

There are plenty of awful movies that I've ended up enjoying as well as great movies that I've hated. The only way to find out is to watch it.

Indeed my tastes in movies certainly do not agree with the tastes of the movie critics and neither do my wifes. Pretty much summed up by the fact both of us love nearly all of Micheal Bays movies, particually Armegeddon.
