Robbie Williams Live at The Albert Hall HD

Quote:
The show was the hot ticket of the year back in 2001, and now, get ready for Live At The Albert's exciting High Definition release, allowing us to see Robbie in all his techni-colour glory.

Totalling over 100 minutes of footage, this incredible Blu-ray/HD DVD release comes complete with a 12-page booklet outlining the DVD content and contains Robbie’s now legendary show in its entirety. With hugely increased capacity and resolution for both picture and audio, these two new formats ensure that, for the very first time, this stunning live film can be seen as it was intended, capturing Robbie at his swinging best and fulfilling a lifelong ambition to play the songs he had grown up with.

Live At the Albert is available from Monday, 3rd December, 2007 on HD DVD and Blu-ray.
This is good-it's about time we saw a few more music/concerts HD releases.

I hope they get round to releasing his "What We Did Last Summer" live concert from Knebworth in HD next, as that is one of my favourite ever live DVDs-the soundtrack is absolutely stunning on the SD DVD and IMO it would make a great showcase in Dolby True HD or DTS Master HD.

must show the girlfriend this, she loves robbie

but in fairness we went to see him in phoenix park outside dublin the week after the knebworth dates-fantastic show. 130,000 people in a field going crazy to ash and robbie was quite the sight

I'm also looking forward to Knebworth along with the Chinese Jean Michel Jarre concerts

Jean Michel Jarre in HD=Mint. Robbie Williams in HD=Horrendous nightmares.

Re: Robbie Williams Live at The Albert Hall HD

cheers. I loved this concert (apart from his usual gibbering throughout). Think this will be a purchase, but will probably wait for reviews to see if there is any big difference from the sddvd

Yes, from current information the audio could be identical to the dvd-release. I already own the dvd so it seems a bit of a waste to get this concert just for the (possibly) better PQ.
