Its something I've been wondering myself. Howl's Moving Castle looks amazing on DVD, I wonder what it would look like in HD.

It looks like their new releases will be available on Blu-Ray, but I can't see any mention of the back catalogue. Maybe sometime in the future

Thx for the reply. I want Spirited Away in hi def that why i thought i'd ask. Plus next year there should be releasing Ponyo on a cliff (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponyo_on_a_Cliff) so that might get released on blu ray or hd dvd in the future.

Cheers

I wish.I had hoped that the latest Ghibli movie-Tales of Earthsea-would be released on Blu at the same time as SD.Alas it was not be.
Still,I have a UK PS3 so even if Japan did it I doubt it would work on mine(presuming it even has english subtitles).
Give me the complete work of Myazaki and Takahata anyday.
