I'll be buying it but what a shame it was the weakest of the bunch, the extras may actually raise the overall appeal of the release

Re: Shrek The Third - HD DVD

A few more details are starting to emerge on this release. Firstly it will be the first HD DVD to sport seemless branching. Secondly it will utilise the persistent storage, e.g. if you choose a menu option it will be remembered even after the disc has been removed/re-inserted.

You must be wrong. I was assured seamless branching wasn't possible on HD DVD. Lack of bandwidth or something?

The Disc does seem to have some good features..

such as the "most comprehensive webenabled content yet" and "according to Dreamworks, a number of additional exclusive features will be made available for download the day the disc hits stores"

Just not sure Shrek 3 is the killer title for all of this for me .. Still it's going to be fun to find out.

My sentiments exactly. And if it's pants, there'll be no shortage of takers in the traders forums or on ebay.
