It is good to know, what with the Blu-ray release seeming to be delayed! Would rather not wait until Christmas, so hopefully will get some news on the Blu-ray soon. Great for HD DVD owners

Cheers

I've bought discs from France , Germany , Poland and Japan and not had any lipsynch problems . I think the latest Toshiba firmware updates have fixed most of these problems . The hardest part is memorising your way around the japanese menus

~M~ | No I didn't mean machine lip sync problems. I've bought SD DVDs fom the likes of Germany and France with the English soundtrack well out of sync on a player with no such problem. I guess they just stuck the soundtrack on any old how as it isn't their own lingo.
All the best

" I guess they just stuck the soundtrack on any old how as it isn't their own lingo. "
I dont think its that , Bri , I think it has more to do with HDMI and digital processing but when it gets sorted it's great isn't it ?

~M~ | I'm talking standard DVD. No HDMI. I've encountered a few bad discs like the German DVD of Lost Highway. The English soundtrack was sometimes ok but badly out of sync on too many ocassions. Ruined the film. I'm afraid that it may be the same with hi def.
Best wishes
Bri

Hi
Never seen the film, but Jessica Marie Alba in high definition has sort of sealed the deal for me.
I'm a sleaze sorry!
