Silent Hill HD-DVD (German Release)

I see that there is now a German version of Silent Hill on HD-DVD with VC1 encoding.

Has anyone imported this version yet, and if so where did you order it from ?

Pay Day is looming and i'd like to pick this one up without paying Fleabay prices

Thanks

Steve

Re: Silent Hill HD-DVD (German Release)

I ordered my copy from amazon.de using babelfish to translate. After being shipped i recieved underworld & silent hill within 4 working days. cost about £34 including shipping for both.

PQ on silent hill is superb 10/10. Underworld PQ is ok but has some problems with dark scenes with background noise 8/10. Both AQ on these films is outstanding, I even had to rush to turn the volume down when first watching.

Both have easy to navigate menu's to change to english soudtrack from german.

May order resident evil 1 & 2 and brothers grimm from amazon this week.

Re: Silent Hill HD-DVD (German Release)

I ordered Silent Hill from movietyme and it hasnt shipped which probably means its not in stock . \they're a bit lazy with their excuses . You can get it from xploited.com , its labelled 'In stock' and usually ships next day.

Re: Silent Hill HD-DVD (German Release)

movietyme have it for £17.99 including postage.

Silent hill HD-DVD will not be released in the UK or US as its a Sony studio film so Blu-ray only. In Germany its Concorde who are neutral.

It's based on a computer game in a similar way Resident Evil is. I thought this was a better film. Not brilliant but not a disaster either. The overall look of the film is pretty good. I'd watch it again.

Re: Silent Hill HD-DVD (German Release)

My copy was despatched from Movietyme on thursday, so should arrive on monday. This was pretty well my only reason to want a Blu-Ray player so glad I found a region that has SH on HD-DVD!
