Underworld - US/UK Differences?

Does anyone know what differences there are between "Underworld: Special Extended Edition" (UK version) and "Underworld (Unrated)" (US version)?

Looking at the box in HMV, the UK one doesn't list a PCM track (which is something I had read previously), but I believe the US version does have one (MT list it as having one)

Anyone know if there are any differences with US/UK versions of Underworld: Evolution as well? e.g. no PCM track on the UK one?

The UK uses MPEG2 and the US uses AVC.

The UK version's soundtrack is listed English: 5.1 Surround Sound, no mention of a HD audio track anywhere. The case also has Dolby Digital on the back, but when playing back my amp recieved a DTS signal. From a UK PS3 connected via optical.

Haven't watched the whole of the second film but the quick go I had with the disc showed it was set up the same.

Any specs available or did someone got a look at the covers for these ??

That only refers to the DVD versions and not the Blu-Ray ones, which is what I was mainly interested in. Saying that, Assuming that the BD version uses the same cut as the DVD version, then the US and UK versions will be the same.

Seems strange that they would use different encoding

As they seem to have left the PCM tracks off the UK versions, guess I'll be ordering the US versions as they are supposed to work on a UK PS3

No worries mate. They have the listings for the HD DVD and BD for Underworld Evolution but not the first underworld. Strange that.
