'The History Boys'. I'm glad it wasn't in High Def

I finally got round to watching 'The History Boys' last night. It's one of those films you just knew would drop in price, and I picked it up for £7 at HGV.

It was a smashing film, rartely falling into the pitfalls so obviously opened to it.

But I'm glad I didn't get it in high def.

Sat in front of the telly with The Missus, it was a good evening's thoughtful entertainment. I just don't think it would have benefitted from the cinema room treatment. Indeed, I think watching it on the big screen, in the pitch black, in 'serious viewing' mode would have spoiled it.
