Re: ordering hd from abroad

Movietyme is a forum favourite

You may get a better response if you ask a mod to move this thread to the correct forum. This one is for HD hardware

I think they are ridiculously overpriced and what's even worse: They do not deduct the VAT for Non-EC customers.

I had ordered from amazon and DVDPlanet.com in the past.

If you order from amazon.com, make sure you declare it as a gift to steer away from customs charges and don't order too may items at once.

Re: ordering hd from abroad

DVDWorldUSA.com - never had any problems whatsoever with them.

Tried movietyme before - found their customer services and support lacking

Re: ordering hd from abroad

I also recommend www.axelmusic.com - bought many mand HD DVDs and quite a few other media from them. When one (and only one so far) went missing in the post, they sent another with no fuss. I find their prices fine for UK delivery.

Re: ordering hd from abroad

I find movietyme takes a little while to arrive but have a good choice and are cheap enough. If you order a disk a week say, then you are constantly getting a fresh disk arrive.

I always found Axelmusic to be quite ok, I don't like the fact that ordering 2 items doubles the postage costs and they arrive in the same pack. But Sendit is guilty of that too.

I compared once a 3 movie purchase from axel and movietyme, Axel was about 12 euros cheaper.

Re: ordering hd from abroad

Movietyme for early releases here. Great selection of hd-dvd's, and they keep in touch constantly about your order/s. Films do take slightly longer to arrive (3-5 days) mainly due to Uk customs here.

For misc Uk releases I rely on play.com and no one else.

Re: ordering hd from abroad

I use axelmusic mostly now because im selling off my dvds and can use the paypal to get new hd stuff. I used to use movietyme until a couple of packages took really long to arrive (went via new zealand, probably sorted that now)

I use Movietyme. Though as said above- they can be a bit slow at times.
