HD DVD Movies Getting More Expensive?

Is it me or are shops charging more for HD DVD releases then they did say two months ago?

For example i have noticed that www.playhd.co.uk has put its prices up across the board betweem 1 & 2 pounds. Normally as the demand get higher shouldn't the price come down?

Also i thought a HD DVD was cheaper to produce than Blue Ray and as such i would have thought the retail price would reflect this, however both HD DVD and Blue Ray seem to be priced about the same.

I agree. seem to be creeping up across the board. Certainly in the High Street they are retailing for about £25, which is just crazy. On the net, where we all buy them you are looking at £18 now for most new releases.
