Re: final fantasy spirits within on blu-ray, anyone recieved a copy yet?

I received mine from Movietyme on Thursday - not watched it all the way through but have watched Aki's rescue at the beginning and the attack on the city. It does look really good - clean, huge amounts of detail, obviously no print damage or grain to speak of at all, sounds amazing.......a vast improvement over the sd version.

However, and this may just be me nit picking, I wasn't totally blown away by it. Impressed, yes. I wasn't disappointed, but it was just that I had high hopes as this was my first hd cg disk. But due to the cleanliness and detail of the transfer it really highlighted the deficiencies in the cg! I noticed imperfections such as that the characters feet 'hovered' above the ground.......I know, I know, I'll get me coat.......

However, enuff said about that. Overall, it has a great picture, amazing sound and a full raft of special features (all included from the 2-disk sd version I believe. A huge improvement over the sd version.

Received my copy today...Looks fantastic, Aki's dream sequences are especially impressive.. and it works on a UK PS3 to boot...
