Thanks: Gave 0, Got 9 | preordering from movietyme
If I preorder from movietyme and give them my card details do they take the money straight away or when the film in question is actually shipped? I'm worried that I'm not going to get the blade runner set if I don't preorder, but don't have £50 odd to spend at this moment in time.

When you order something they give you the option to pay at that time or when the item ships.

You have the option to pay at time of order or when it ships.
On checkout, you will see this Quote: |
Bill Pre Ordered Titles Immediately: NOT ACTIVE More Info
| Not active means you will be charged on release, if you change this to Active, you will be charged upon order.

I know some sites do that and I haven't been stung yet (e.g. dvdfromkorea.com). It's a risk maybe worth taking though given the savings you may make.
I go with movietyme now to avoid giving this 'tax' which is quite frankly a disgrace

I would go with MovieTyme as half the time they ship from UK, so no chance of VAT. Also if you do get charge VAT, I think they will credit it back to you.
Plus with MovieTyme if they get it early, you get it early. Can't say the same for Amazon.
