hot fuzz the best ever hd transfer according to

highdefdigest are rating hot fuzzz hd-dvd the best high definition disk transfer to date

"Simply put, in my opinion, this is currently the best overall high-def release on the market -- especially when you factor in the price. Purchasing 'Hot Fuzz' on HD DVD is a no-brainer for fans and an easy recommendation for newcomers. This is what high definition is all about."

Dont think I'd rate it as the best ever , but its very very good and I think they may have marked it up because there's a huge amount of quality extras on it too

It is a very good looking movie but the hulk still gets the top honours for me.

Re: hot fuzz the best ever hd transfer according to

I think the review talks about it being the best overall HD package rather than actual transfer.

Very tempted to get it though but don't want a combo so i'll wait for the UK release.

Actually they gave the PQ 5 stars. Overall with 18 hrs of extras it is one of the better all round discs. It's a great film as well. my wife comes from the Gloucester area and the accents just crack me up. She was able to translate some of the subtler dialogue

Re: hot fuzz the best ever hd transfer according to

The best HD-DVD transfer I've seen so far goes to Black Street Moan Groan. The PQ on that was jaw dropping, and looked even better then Tokyo drift which was my no.1 film for transfer quality. As for Hot Fuzz, I'll need to re-watch it again to see how good the transfer was.

If anyone who buys the UK version could give some feedback, it would be greatly appreciated. I want to know if it's identical to the US disc sans combo.

Re: hot fuzz the best ever hd transfer according to

As a package I would also say that Hot Fuzz is the best HD release yet. In terms of value for money, it truly excels.

Hate having to pay UK prices for HD DVD but I will since it's not a combo.
