V for Vendetta

If you bought a copy of '300' in Canada today you also got a nice surprise in the form of a insert showing 'V for Vendetta' coming soon for Blu-ray. As one of the titles still missing on Blu-ray from Warner's high definition catalog, it is a welcome addition to their Blu-ray portfolio. No date or specs have been given at this time

Re: V for Vendetta

This will be one of the movies that's released when the v1.1 Blu-ray spec is confirmed on October 31st - along with films like Batman Begins. These have the Warner "In Movie Experince" that current BD players just can't cope with and probably won't be able when they are finally released.
I have it on HD DVD and it is a cracking transfer. A "working" Blu-Ray release would be more than welcome...
I'm really hoping that v1.1 discs don't kill my fondness of blu boxes off - at the moment, I have both formats living side by side...in perfect harmony.

Edit - before I get flamed and hammered with unwanted PM's - I should say, this is just my opinion and I of course have no proof. I do, however, have an insert from a HD DVD 18 months ago that has Shawshank Redemption on it - and that's never seen the light of day.

Indeed. The film is extremely good IMHO - the finale accompanied by it's Dolby TrueHD soundtrack is still one of my favourite high def scenes.

Re: V for Vendetta

what would it sound like in dolby 640kbs lol ? blu got some crippled releases by warner in the past let`s not forget that. by the way I am not such a fan of the movie although I am sure it looks and sounds perfect. what I might do is buy the graphic novel as they say it is quite different from the film.
