Re: Casino Royale Product Placement

Why do people care so much about this? Its not like youre obliged to purchase these products if you see them in a film, and if it distracts your attention from the film itself, then you have issues.

Re: Casino Royale Product Placement

oh not bothered.. i just thought it was quite funny.. they even had old sony ericcson phones which havent been on the market for a while.. i guess in sony's ideal world.. they would be the only electronics maker out there..

watched the film a few times the last week, got a new amp that can do lossless sound.. wasnt that impressed with the film initially but it actually gets better with repeated viewings

The most jarring for me was the watch; "is that a rolex?", "no, omega", "oh, how beautiful!"

Re: Casino Royale Product Placement

I found most of the placement quite amusing.
The only part that had me wondering was the crash of the Aston.
I couldn't help but think that the crash suggests that:
1. If you try and avoid something at speed, that you could end up rolling end over end several times
2. That none of the airbags went off
Now I know that both of the above were staged for the crash and that the stunt driver couldn't get the car to roll without explosive charges, but surely it would have made more sense to have just a high speed spin, hit a tree and have the airbags go off?

Re: Casino Royale Product Placement

I did wonder why we didn't see Bond playing on a PS3 at some point too. I think the worse thing is the way Richard Branson manages to sneak his way into films though. Casino Royale, Superman Returns etc.
