Thanks: Gave 152, Got 235 | I thought that Sony said that this wouldn't happen.
I thought that Sony said that they would not support pornography on the BR Format. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/PCW...ory?id=3427203 |

I dont think Sony ever said that porn on Blu-ray wouldn't happen, just that it wont work directly with those doing so. Titles like this have been out in Japan for a good while now.

The "story" about Sony not allowing BR to have pron was actually proved to be false when it first appeared in the press in Feb/March time - somestuff about Disney not wanting to risk a Debbie does Dallas transfer on a Bambi imprinted disc (basically as long as the BR pressing plant dont do Disney films, they can press what they like)

I was just thinking
Sony created Betamax, which was dusted by VHS. Why? Due to the fact that porn was either all or almost entirely on VHS.
So the video cassate war was won on the basis of porn.
Porn basicly helped make the internet what it is today. Or so people say.
Porn has a big say in how things go.
I think HD has porn already released. I don't know I don't have any.
So, is Sony fighting a losing battle, or at least playing catch up?

I still say porn will have no effect on this Format War. But it's always good to have support and discs pressed to lower production costs.

So far I've seen 'Island Fever 3' and 'Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tools Massacre.' Camp Cuddly Pines was filmed on HD cameras. These Japanese releases are from a pressing plant in Taiwan I think.
