Thumbs up Lost: Season 3 on Blu-ray

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has confirmed that 'Lost: Season 3' will be coming to Blu-ray on December 11th, day and date with the DVD set. You may recall that this title was announced a few months back in a news article, before being denied by Disney. More details are to follow.

Re: Lost: Season 3 on Blu-ray

Yeah by the time they issue the first two seasons I might be interested in buying Blu-ray

That said the release of later seasons of shows on HD DVD (when HD masters exist) is something I don't like either.

Re: Lost: Season 3 on Blu-ray

This is the first time since Casino Royale that I've been really jealous of Blu-ray owners. Of course the real winners will be the dual format owners who'll have both Lost and Heroes by the end of the year.

Re: Lost: Season 3 on Blu-ray

"look for a six-disc set sporting all 23 third-season episodes in full 1080p and uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround.
Among the extras will be audio commentaries with cast and crew (on select episodes TBA), five making-of featurettes, deleted scenes and blooper"

Re: Lost: Season 3 on Blu-ray

Am I right in thinking that this will be region-encoded so useless to those of us with UK PS3 players for our Blu-Ray discs? (If not I need to cancel my Region 2 DVD pre-order and swap it for the MovieTyme release)

Re: Lost: Season 3 on Blu-ray

With it being a Buena Vista release i would say yes but who knows

Good price at £39.99, i remember when the news that Lost season 1 would be on Blu-Ray it would end up costing over £100 per season as they would release 2 eps at a time

But like i said when this news came out, i want season 1 and 2 before season 3, i will wait as by the time season 1 and 2 are out season 3 might have even come down in price .

Edit

Was so excited to hear this, I seriously can't wait for it!

Fully expected it to follow Heroes to HD DVD,

Re: Lost: Season 3 on Blu-ray

Will there be any chance of this coming out on HDDVD in the near future? Otherwise I'll just get the SD version.
