BLu-Ray Demo

Hi all, sorry if this has been answered many times before but I dont visit this part of the forums much and couldnt find a thread, only one for HDDVD

Im getting a Blu-Ray player today (hoorah!) and am looking for a great demo disc to play. Have a 1080i / 720p LCD TV if that matters.

Thanks

From the review on this site it looks like 300 would be a good bet.

Re: BLu-Ray Demo

Thanks, I already ordered that from Movietyme because I missed it at the cinema and wanted to see it.

I just need to buy one bluray movie from the shop as a demo because the Movietyme ones take a while to arrive.

Re: BLu-Ray Demo

Apocalypto has impressed me the most on Blu-ray so far and I've seen 300 and both Pirates of the Caribbean releases.

300 is on Movietyme's Same Day Dispatch section so chances are it will be with you tomorrow morning.

From my experience with Movietyme, just because you get advised it been dispatched, it still may take over a week for the disc/s to arrive - if they come from the USA.

I ordered some HD discs from Movietyme 2 weeks ago and 2 out of the 3 arrived in approx 3/4 days and I am STILL waiting for the 3rd disc !!!!

Could be down to the UK postal disruption at the moment too though.

PS: If you have a UK Blu ray player, you need to make sure the "blu-ray" discs ordered from Movietyme (reg.1) will work on your player . only the HD dvd's are not region coded.

Yeah it really depends with Movietyme. I've had some discs turn up in no time at all yet Fear and Loathing took the full 15 work days to turn up. They've always been mega helpfull whenever I email them so no complaints at all with their service. They always do personal responses to which is nice.

Re: BLu-Ray Demo

Yeah I agree I have used Movietyme for years, and will continue to do so, and on the whole the service is good .. its just the odd one or two discs now and again which can sometimes take ages to arrive !

Average transfer in my opinion. Not as good as hyped up to be.

Re: BLu-Ray Demo

Thanks all. Ordered 300 (man that film is brutal) and Corpse Bride in the end (one film for me, and one I can show the wife )

Sadly they seem to be taking a while to arrive from Movietyme.
