Click on Blue Ray = excellent comedy value

Watched Click last night on Blue Ray and have to say its one funny film... ok some of it might have been the wine.. but we havent laughed as much in a long time at a comedy..some of the scenes with the Hoff are pure gold..

the transfer is mighty impresssive as well.. its the first blue ray we've watched since the new firmware update for the ps3 and the depth of colour is just breathtaking...

highely recommend the disc.. only cost 19.99 euro in tower records in dublin.. wish all blue rays were this price.. on the same stand the pursuit of happyness was 34.99... and HMV had rocky and rock balboa at 44.99 each ***.....

Re: Click on Blue Ray = excellent comedy value

its scandelous what some of the leading shops charge in dublin mick .... ive found Game in Clare Hall to be the cheapest BD seller .... 17.99 for a good few titles.

Xtravision need to step up a bit too .... not nearly enough choice for rentals which is were i would see most people going for BD at the prices they are asking.

Re: Click on Blue Ray = excellent comedy value

I think you will find it had a lot to do with the wine.

Click was my first bluray purchase (only one i hadn't seen that was instock at blockbusters when i purchased my ps3) and it was an ok, at best, film.

Re: Click on Blue Ray = excellent comedy value

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the tip, what sort of selection do they have? is it like golden discs?

click
monster house
rv
hostel
hitch

etc?

i'm after titles like rocky, happy feet (not sure this is actually out yet in europe?) and the mission impossible set

agreed xtravision is poor.. the only new addition to the rentals section have been babel and deja vu in the last month or so!

Game have a store in dawson street as well so might take a look there as its closer to work..

cheers
,mick

Excellent, Click is a NON-region free title, so if it runs on your UK PS3 it must have been a region B from them. I'll order it now.

Cheers

Possibly because you are asking more for it than you can buy it for new from tower records???

So everyone on the trading forums has been to Tower Records recently? Must get mighty busy in there!!

Oh and btw, I've never 'asked' anything for it, just offered it up as a possible trade.

Re: Click on Blue Ray = excellent comedy value

HMV had the MI boxset for, I believe, 80euro. Which isn't that bad for a High Street retail outlet. It's still more expensive than the DVD set (which is 50) but the fact is that BR and HD are niche markets at the moment.

Re: Click on Blue Ray = excellent comedy value

still can be got for about 52 euro from online suppliers.. so they are still quite expensive.... i know they seem to have the best selection on the highstreet.. but i cant understand some of their prices.. Open Season.. 39.99... tower records/golden discs 19.99! doesnt make much sense to me....

Re: Click on Blue Ray = excellent comedy value

Actually best pricing around is Gamestop for certain titles, picked up BluRay's of Ultra Violet and Tallaghada Nights for 16.99 each and also picked up Open Season Monster House Hostel Hellboy for 17.99. HMV are rip off artists most of the time.
