THE FUGITIVE HD-DVD - Anyone got it? What is it like?

Hi,

Love this film... LOVEE IT!

What is the HD-DVD like ?

I'd heard the pic was merely O.K. (or even quite poor). How is it compared to the standard def DVD ?

Is there any extras on the HD-DVD ?

Are there any... ANY... differences between the US and UK HD-DVD's ?

Thanks guys for your feedback.

This is a difficult one I agree

I have seen it on my system, and I wasnt blown away (unlike some other films on HD-DVD / blu-ray) I will watch it again this weekend on my new HD-E1 -was previously using the X360 drive

I really like the film also, think its a cracker, but this isnt a definitive disc by any means imo (it deserved much better transfer)

will confirm over the weekend

Apart from seeing it in the cinema on 35mm I've never seen a good master of this film.

I would rate it as a 6/10 (for audio & picture). Not the best HD DVD out there but still good (especially given how old the film is).

That said, it's still streets ahead of the SD DVD, so if you love it that much I'd say buy it.

Extras are pretty standard, commentary, making of etc.
