Omg!!!!- Saw 3 Blu Ray =£33.99

Was looking on www.sendit.com as they are usually quiet competitive on UK blu ray. Wanted Saw 3, found it and its's £33.99 (incredible price)

then went to hmv.com to find its 23.99!!!!

and these are online prices, i also saw the new xmen film instore at hmv today along with speed - both were £29.99

what is this format thinking?

From the title, I thought you meant you had seen 3 blu-ray discs for £33.99 - I was thinking that's pretty impressive - then I opened the thread

I agree, in store prices for HD DVD and BD are a joke, no wonder sales are slow as treacle.

I bought Saw II and III (US version) form Movietyme for £30 combined!

Most UK Blu-ray titles are £13.99 and £17.99 on Play.

Re: Omg!!!!-saw 3 Blu Ray =£33.99

Unfortunately HMV have always been a bit expensive than other outlets, even back in the 80's they were charging £6.99 or £7.99 for LP records that were £4.99 elsewhere.

You just have to shop around and go online though even the likes of Play have started to creep their prices up.

Rather ironic though there was a feature on Blair Broadcasting Corporation Breakfast this morning where they were reporting HMV profits stagnating, well the answer is right under the nose - cut their prices back to what people are prepared to pay!

Agreed.
Even here in Ireland Blu-rays in HMV range between €38 to €44.

Problem being, there's nowhere else to get them on the high street other than HMV and Gamestation...and both are as bad as each other for pricing.
The good thing though that the majority of early adopters will have the internet so can and will boycott these ripping off
